Postdoc Positions in Quantum Computing with Superconducting Qubits at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg
The Theory of Quantum Technology Group at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, led by Prof. Michael J. Hartmann invites applications for postdoc positions in the theory and modeling of superconducting quantum hardware. The positions will be part of the new Bavarian and German programs to develop quantum computers, see https://www.munich-quantum-valley.de .
Your research will comprise developing versatile coupling circuits to ensure high connectivity and low cross talk as well as the development of novel qubit architectures that feature increased error resilience. In your research, you will be working in close collaboration with experimental teams led by Prof. Christopher Eichler at FAU and Prof. Stefan Filipp at TUM.
We offer a full E13 salary of the TVL scheme and an initial contract for 24 month that can be extended further.
To apply, please send your CV, a list of publications and a one-page research statement to michael.j.hartmann@fau.de. Please also arrange for letters of recommendation to be submitted independently from two scientists familiar with your work. Applications submitted until 31 July 2022 will be considered with preference, but we will continue to accept applications until the positions are filled.
